About the Art
Artie, our resident arctic fox, and Cooper, our melanistic red fox, are an amazing team of artists! To create these extravagant works of art, our animal care staff helps them out by adding small dabs of colorful, non-toxic paint to canvas. They then ask the foxes to preform "paw", a trained behavior, to swipe the paint across the canvas. In return, they receive a tasty treat!
Fun fact: The trained behavior "paw" can help our keepers while preforming veterinary exams and check-ups.
